Sorry if this is the wrong group, I don't know who else to ask this
and hoping someone can help me.
(This is not folklore, this is true and I need answers about what is
real, thank you)

What is Moz-screenshots? Is this a program that automatically takes
pix of your screen if you have Mozilla? or would someone have to set
that up at your PC to see what you're doing as in spyware?

I downloaded some pix that a friend sent me. They opened up on Windows
Picture and Fax Viewer. When I used the back and forth keys, I found
some pix there some icons for pop tarts that I never saved, that I've
never even been to such websites. But then this is the weirdest thing:
someone had sent me a comic strip in the body of the email so I never
saved it or downloaded it. And there it was saved 4 or 5 times as "moz-
screenshot-15.jpg" What does this mean? Is this something someone
would have had to set up to monitor my online activities? Or is this
automatically done with Mozilla? If it's spyware how do I stop this?

Thanks!

Was it in the body of an email that has been forwarded many times? It's
not unusual for these to contain multiple copies of text and
attachments. HTML messages containing links to images can track your
activity. When the actual image is sent in the email it's less likely to
be spyware.

...and more likely to be spam--with some text on it offering a hot new
stock at 6 cents a share.

Yes I forwarded the email to some of my friends.
But this doesn't answer my question.

Could someone please explain to me in simple (layman's) terms what is
Mozscreenshots? And how do they pictures get saved to my computer
without me doing the saving?
Thanks everyone.
